Stimulates the Pituitary Gland

Improve the Function of the Pituitary Gland

The pituitary gland is an endocrine gland about the size of a pea, found inside the head, at the base of the brain, but it is not a part of the brain.

The pituitary gland is an endocrine organ that controls many functions in the body, also termed the “Master Gland”, for being responsible for the production and secretion of many hormones that travel throughout the body to other organs and endocrine glads.  The pituitary gland controls biochemical processes important to our wellbeing.  Some of the main functions of the pituitary gland are:

  • Endocrine function regulation
  • Production of hormones that act on other endocrine glands
  • Promotes sperm production in men and stimulates the ovaries to enable ovulation in women
  • Stimulates thyroid gland, which regulates the body’s metabolism, energy, growth and nervous system activity
  • Storage of hormones produced in the hypothalamus
  • Growth hormone production
