Ana Luque, Founder & CEO of Blissful MindSpa
Ana Luque is the founder and CEO of Blissful MindSpa. A California-based company that designs handcrafted spa equipment, products and therapies for the mind. Inspired by ancient holistic healing rituals and backed by scientific research, the therapies are specifically created for spas, wellness centers, massage therapists and Ayurvedic practitioners.
Ana is a lifelong student of classic Ayurvedic Medicine. She formally studied at Kerala Ayurveda Academy— both in the USA and India. In Kerala, India is where she studied in depth the ancient Ayurvedic therapy ‘shirodhara’ (Blissful Mind Massage). Her interest in this therapy goes back to 2009, when following an almost fatal car accident, she was introduced to the healing science of Ayurveda and the miraculous therapy of shirodhara, which healed her beyond what doctors imagined was possible.
Having experienced the powerful restorative properties of shirodhara (Blissful Mind Massage) first hand—and then during rigorous training in India—Ana realized the strong need for ancient Eastern mind-healing therapies beyond this part of the world . She founded Blissful MindSpa in 2011 to design products for the wellness industry that focus on and prioritize the mind as the ultimate healing channel. With the mindfulness movement soaring, therapies like Blissful Mind Massage, yoga and meditation are becoming a must at every spa.
Ana teaches the workshop “Mindfulness at the Spa” to wellness practitioners of diverse backgrounds. A beautiful blend of ancient wisdom and scientific evidence, which incorporates Blissful Mind Massage as its main healing therapy.
For over a decade, Ana Luque has had a private nutrition practice in Beverly Hills, and is one of the most recognized wellness coaches in the country. In 2008, Ana authored the highly acclaimed book “The Yogurt Diet”, which cemented her reputation as a pioneer and main force in raising awareness of the health benefits of yogurt and the importance of a balanced gut flora for all-around health and weight loss. Since that time, both, yogurt and probiotic sales have soared and become mainstream.
